Routing

COMPANY

A CNC router engraves a detailed pattern of a dog on a wooden surface, with sawdust scattered around.

Find the shortest path
and reuse all sawdust.

The shortest path is a shared path.

Our Within Collection is made with CNC technology. In order to minimize waste and maximize the use of each panel, we reduce the milling time, that is the distance and area that the CNC bid needs to substract. We achieve this by developing Organic Nesting, where each part’s geometry depends on all the others around it, sharing with their neighbors a milling path, that saves around 45% of fabrication time in average.

Why throw away offcuts when they can become gifts?

Each space in between two parts or inside a part that is big enough to be milled becomes a gift for you. It is a delight to upcycle these amorphous geometries into small animals and human like figures for kids, as well as desk ware for grown ups.

Reuse all sawdust.

We turn all sawdust into big pellets for biomass, which our carpenters use to heat their workshop in the cold winter days.
