Life as we know it depends on forests. The more forests the better. Most of our wood comes from forests less than 100 kms from our headquarters.

We only use wood obtained from the maintenance of mature public forests or from adult fast-growth forests, helping improve their health and biodiversity. We save wood deemed unworthy by the building industry, choosing parts of the tree that are very good but not appropriate for bigger structures, and that would otherwise be turnt into biomass or just waste.

Forests

A dense forest of tall pine trees with a rocky cliff in the background on a clear day.

Coma de Grau

Our main wood provider is the Centre de Valorització de la Fusta Local, a public initiative funded by the Catalan Government. Around their sawmill in Saldes, they maintain many public forests populated with red pine. One of them is the Coma de Grau forest.

These trees are the core of the Without family, our outdoors collection.

Molers

Another forest close to the Centre de Valorització de la Fusta Local.

La Pleta

A north facing forest right in front of the Pedraforca mountain.

These trees are the core of the Without family, our outdoors collection.

Prat de la Casa

A small forest by the Flamisell river, adjacent to our headquarters. In it we test our Without family. From its maintenance we obtain tiny components, and sometimes custom made huts from its tall and old aspen and populus tremula.
